Shahrivar 1405 Monthly Report on Listed Companies: Sales Growth and Decline
Fundai Fundamental Analysis Team · · 11 min read
Comparing growth rank with revenue amount gives a different picture of the leading companies, the major industries and the output of the Shahrivar revenue screens.
The Shahrivar 1405 monthly activity reports show that sales at most listed companies rose compared with the same month last year. Of the 560 companies that published both this year's and last year's Shahrivar sales figures on Codal, 92.1% recorded sales growth. The combined sales of these companies reached 2,020,826.8 billion tomans, which is 131.0% higher than in Shahrivar last year. Nearly half of this increase is attributable to refineries, whose sales more than tripled.

Qand Neyshabur's growth of several hundred thousand percent comes from this very small base, not from the size of its Shahrivar revenue.

The highest revenue table places Isfahan Oil Refining Company, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and Tehran Oil Refining Company at the top, in that order. The order of these companies' revenue amounts is also the same as the order of their annual and monthly growth; this match is not seen in all rows of the table.
At the end of the list, Noori Petrochemical's revenue is higher than that of Afagh Koorosh Chain Stores, but Afagh Koorosh has higher annual growth. In monthly change, the order is reversed and Noori Petrochemical recorded a larger increase compared with Mordad. Therefore, even within this limited list, choosing revenue amount or percentage change alters the order in which companies are compared.

The industry table places basic metals and banks and credit institutions after the petroleum products group. Chemical products have lower revenue than the banking group but recorded higher annual growth; the revenue ranking of industries is not the same as the order of their growth.
According to Codal reports on Fundai, total revenue growth of the petroleum products, coke and nuclear fuel group was 251.6% and the median growth of its companies was 217.6%. In basic metals, according to the same data, total revenue growth was 155.9% and median company growth was 143.6%. In both groups, total revenue growth is higher than the median growth of companies in the same industry.
According to Codal reports on Fundai, the pharmaceutical materials and products group had total revenue growth of 204.8% and median company growth of 200.9%. The food and beverage products group, excluding sugar, according to the same reports, recorded total revenue growth of 200.2% and median company growth of 127.6%. Total revenue growth of the two industries is close, but the median company growth is higher in the pharmaceutical group; similarity in the change in total revenue does not come with similarity in the median growth of companies.
According to Codal reports on Fundai, total revenue growth of the automobiles and parts manufacturing industry was 49.6% and the median growth of its companies was 75.8%. The automobile group has the lowest total revenue growth among the industries shown, even though its revenue amount is higher than that of insurance and pharmaceutical materials and products. The Shahrivar industry comparison shows a different order of groups depending on the criterion chosen.

How did the most-searched companies perform in Shahrivar 1405?
According to Codal reports on Fundai, Naft Sepahan recorded monthly growth of 87.3%, the largest increase over Mordad among the most-searched companies.
| Symbol | Company | Industry | Monthly sales (billion tomans) | Annual growth (%) | Monthly growth (%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SHASEPA | Naft Sepahan | Petroleum products, coke and nuclear fuel | 13,306.5 | 392.0 | 87.3 |
| KHODRO | Iran Khodro | Automobiles and parts manufacturing | 83,407.4 | 60.1 | 32.2 |

| FEMELI | National Iranian Copper Industries | Basic metals | 82,359.0 | 274.8 | 24.0 |
All companies on the most-searched list recorded revenue increases on both an annual comparison and a monthly comparison. Despite the shared direction of change, the size of revenue and the figure for the same month last year differ among them.
How were the figures in this report calculated?
The population of the Shahrivar 1405 monthly report consists of 569 companies that had reported on the Codal system by 14 Mehr 1405. Of this population, 564 companies have a Shahrivar sales figure; 5 companies have reported, but in Fundai's data they have no positive sales figure for this month, which does not mean they had no revenue. Of the companies with Shahrivar sales, 4 have no figure for the same month of the previous year, or their figure was zero; therefore the population with a calculated growth rate is 560 companies.
The table of the largest companies is based on the companies that have a Shahrivar sales figure. The overall statistics, the industries table, and the growth and decline tables relate to the companies that have a year-over-year comparison; the number of results for each filter also belongs only to that result.
Sales is the total monthly revenue that the company itself recorded in its monthly activity report; it also includes service revenue and the operating revenue of banks, insurers and investment companies. Sales returns and discounts have been deducted from the amount. The unit of the revenue figures is billion tomans, and all sales figures are the same as the figures on the company page and the "sales growth versus the same month of the previous year" filter in Fundai.
Annual growth is measured against the same month of the previous year, and monthly growth against the previous month. The growth and decline tables are based on the full result of the year-over-year comparison filter and have no base sales floor; very large growth rates are usually accompanied by a small base, and the column for sales in the same month of the previous year shows this difference. Each filter has its own basis, that is, the monthly average or the year-to-date total from the start of the fiscal year, which is stated in its conditions.
Summary of the Shahrivar 1405 Monthly Report of Listed Companies
The Shahrivar 1405 results show revenue increases at large companies and, at the same time, sharp percentage jumps at companies with a small base. Isfahan Oil Refining Company leads in revenue amount, while other names appear at the top of the growth table. Putting these lists side by side makes it clear that the size of revenue and the intensity of revenue change are two distinct characteristics within this same wave.
Is the growth ranking in the Shahrivar 1405 monthly report the same as the revenue amount ranking?
No; the revenue growth percentage shows the change relative to the base amount, whereas the revenue amount ranking is determined by the revenue of the month itself. In Fundai's tables, read the column for revenue in the same month of the previous year alongside the growth percentage so that the effect of base size on the comparison is clear.
Why does a company appear both in the annual decline table and in the list of growth relative to the average?
The basis of comparison differs between the two tables: the annual decline compares Shahrivar revenue with Shahrivar of the previous year; growth relative to the average measures Shahrivar revenue against the company's monthly average. According to Codal reports on Fundai, Danesh Bonyan Pouya Niroo appears in both outputs; these two positions are not contradictory.
Danesh Bonyan Pouya Niroo is the point linking the decline table and the output of growth relative to the average: the month's revenue can be lower than one annual reference and higher than another. On the other hand, the most-searched list places companies with different revenue sizes side by side; a name drawing attention does not by itself determine a company's position in the amount or growth table.
The full picture of this wave is revenue increases with differing rankings and cases of decline relative to the previous year, not a single final order for all companies. Your next step could be to review the monthly report of a selected company and compare it with the members of the same output. At Fundai, we make the monthly report figures and the output of the related filters comparable so that a like-for-like comparison replaces reliance on a single prominent ranking.
